Ton van den Oever is one of the leading tree nurseries in Europe. The nurseries are primarily located in the south of the Netherlands (100 ha) and in the north of the Netherlands (30 ha).
Ton van den Oever specialises in the cultivation of a wide range of avenue and park trees, which includes the development of its own specific tree varieties. These are protected by copyright under the name 'Louisa'.
Ton van den Oever is a commercial nursery. The nursery specialises in quickly supplying the entire range without compromising its very high quality. Thus shrubs, roses, perennials and conifers are also available.
A customer-oriented approach, experience, extensive knowledge of the product and the market, a dynamic infrastructure and excellent advice are the company’s core foundations.
In the Netherlands focus is primarily directed on municipal and government bodies, major horticultural companies, engineering firms, project developers and the intermediary trade. Advice is beginning to play an ever greater role within each project. A huge amount of product knowledge is available at Ton van den Oever. An extra component in the cultivation process involves cultivating a broad range of approximately 60.000 young trees on an annual basis. The primary aim of this is to supply them to companies in Europe who want to further cultivate young trees.
The company exports to England, Germany, Belgium, France, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Switzerland, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries.
In 2002 Ton van den Oever was awarded ISO certificate 9001. This guarantees consumers that they are dealing with a well-organised company which supplies top quality products.
Environmentally-friendly cultivation is guaranteed by the Ecolabel Milieukeur Certificate for Plant Products.
The entire nursery is subject to NAK-T approval. The NAK-T inspects quality and adherence to specifications.
Ton van den Oever has also released the 'Grote Groen Gids', the 'Bomen informatie systeem' on cd-rom and the periodic publication 'Ton Times'.
