Our Young Trees have old roots !!!

young treesA few years ago Ton van den Oever started a cultivation programme for young tree. This includes re-planted trees in sizes 6-8 t/incl. 10-12. The cultivation programme has existed for quite some time, though the young trees are now being produced in greater quantities for our customers. These customers are primarily located in England, Germany, Italy, Poland and Turkey, though are also represented in other European countries.

The young trees produced at Ton van den Oever Nurseries distinguish themselves in a number of ways:

First and foremost, Ton van den Oever offers trees of a very high quality. Due to many generations of experience in cultivating (young) trees at Ton van den Oever, a great deal of knowledge is available within the company (giving cause to the saying: Our young trees have old roots). This enables us to entrust the propagation of young trees - via budding, inoculation, cutting and layering – to our own team of professional personnel. Further, the trees are cultivated in rows; each tree being 50 cm apart and each row being 160 cm apart. By using this space, we offer the crown enough room to develop properly. By continuously striving towards a higher soil quality, one is able to create healthier root system.

Assortment

Ton van den Oever not only offers its customers an extensive range, but also a plentiful one. On an annual basis, between 50,000 and 60,000 trees are produced. The assortment remains appealing because new varieties are introduced each year. Young trees are offered at very competitive prices. It is also possible to have young trees cultivated under a contract. As a customer, this offers you various advantages. It offers you the reassurance that the trees you require will be in stock. In addition, a very favourable price can be agreed, which means you are less vulnerable to price fluctuations.
